That cam you posted is Geoff's 3rd largest grind for rectangular port heads. Those grinds are more for cars with the intended usage to be street driving and trips to the dragstrip. For your application I would give him a call and let him custom grind you something. It will make better power across the board.

236/262 is a lot of cam for street in 402ci IMHO (but what do i know )
that run was with my old MS4 and it was awesome but i thought i might get better optimized cam for LS3 heads.
hope Geoff's or PatG chime in and give me some thoughts

I'd just call Geoff. He doesn't spend a lot of time on here. I made a phone call to him and we spoke for over an hour going back and forth with cam choices...

That cam is not too big for a 402. The cam that is smaller than that one is recommended for stock cube LS3's and the cam above it is recommeded for LS7 engines.
Just like bmw3588 said, just call him and talk to him. He will get going in the right direction to making some serious power.

It should if you gave Geoff all the specs of what he needs.
I should have my EPS cammed 416 running in a couple of months. I need to order the oil pan and balancer for it and it will be ready to drop in.

I think the exhaust duration is too long and I would tighten up the lsa.
Please report back with Geoff's recommendation!
