[So I just rebuilt my motor, setup is in signature. I am pretty happy with the results with my cheap headers and intake. Should be good for 450 to 460 with a better setup

AI 853 219 HCR CNC porting and AI 230, 238, .600, .600 113.

Final numbers, 432 rwhp and 392 rwta

Great numbers! I think youd be closer to 450 with a FAST and bigger TB..

not bad for 853 heads... i think i might run mine as well

i know my intake, tb, and headers are costing me 15 to 20 hp. I was happy with the numbers, car drives like stock.

Anyone know how to overlay the graphs? I would like to compare them, old setup vs new.

Very nice numbers especially with those heads. I wonder how an LS6 intake and a catless ory would do with this combo.

Have the shop give you a screenshot/printout with them overlayed. Easiest way.

Op, what is a complete list of things you changed when you did the swap from the first setup to now?

On the first post, I attached the comparison of both dynos, didnt figure out how to overlay.

The difference are the following:

- Bored .020
- ls7 lifters
- AI cam and heads
- trunion upgrade
- Mufflex 3.5 catback with magnaflow single exit muffler( Old setup was flowmaster catback and also a cutout) Higher horsepower graph is thru cutout)
- 17" wheels, old were 16"
- New level 3 clutch, old was the same
- walbro pump and hot wire kit

I can get you both if you want next time I'm up there.

I wonder how much the streetsweeper would make with thous heads? You happy with thous results, little on the low side?

Nice results! I've been wondering how yours would turn out given we have very similar combos. Wish you lived close to here as I'd love to line em up.

Given the torque curve I'm tempted to go with a taller gear for the sake of traction without resorting to drag radials on the street.

I gotta say those results are impressive! AI does it again...

Studderin, I knew my headers and intake would hold me back, I convinced myself 420 rwhp would make me happy, so 432 makes me happy. It pulls great, drives like stock and has more power.

My car had low dyno numbers to begin with 405 rwhp with the streetsweeper, there is a tech's vette at new era that did 415 to the wheels with the same cam and slp headers.

If I switch out my LPP headers and y pipe for American racing headers and Y and a fast intake and TB. I bet it will be around 450 to 460 rwhp.

I no longer have any surging under 1800 rpms, I can use my 6th gear again. I would have like to stick with the streetsweeper but it was trashed so mine as well switch it up.

I wonder what kind of track times it would run

Does the cam have advance ground into it or is it 113+0?

As far as track times, my last setup wasnt that stellar on the track, 12.5 at 113 to 115. Hopefully next winter I am able to put a twelve bolt in with 410 gear and go with a sticky tire.

I am hoping to bring it to the track on street tires this year and see what it does.

We are getting a local track here so I dont have to drive 2 hours to a good track. Should be done hopefully next season.

As far as advance ground in, it says 2.6 degrees. Valve lift is .598 , .600. Just checked my cam spec sheet.

4.10s will be great with either setup, even a stock cam. You don't really hear anyone not liking going to more gear with the t56. That vette has my old SS cam. :) so its gona make more power, haha. Not sure why you had surging in 6th. I could lug the motor form 900rpm in 6th and it didn't surge it was slow as hell but smooth. My new cams like 240 .650 and doesn't surge. I printed out both best setup if you want me to post it, looks a little better then the dot to dot one :)

you going to NYI anytime soon, go on rochester racing there a bunch of LS1 guys on there that go there alot.I dont think I have any good 26" tire but you can try my 16 with 28 DR, your gona need 4.10 at least

Yup, it will get some upgrades eventually on the headers, gears and intake. Im thinking a twelve bolt first, so I can go to the track with slicks and see how it does. Im actually sick of working on it and want to drive it.

Im happy with the power, on the street I havent been beat yet, but I also havent come across any turbo or supercharged cars.

We should meet up sometime. I haven't ran a H/C LS1 yet. Curious on how I would do. Congrats on the new set up BTW!

Thats Very good power and torque at 3,000rpm, one of the best 346's i've ever seen, 210rwhp is good at 3k! but you stomp that and your previous setup was even better down low i bet its fun to drive!

Studderin, thanks for posting that for me. I was pretty happy with my old setup. I really wouldnt of changed it if I hadnt ruined the cam.
