12 Second Club - 12's my first time out. whats next?

I took my car to the track last weeknd for the first time and ran a 12.8 on a stock motor and near bald street tires. now i have ls6 heads a custom cam - 236 and 240 601 and 608 lift with 113lsa and a ported throttle body. what time should I be running after putting on my parts and getting a tune?

Gotta love it. Racing is like crack. You hit that 12 sec pass. Then you are immediately looking for that 11 sec pass. And even that is not enough. Right after you hit that 11, you want the 10sec pass.

as of now its on bald street tires. i plan on having street slicks when i take it back. im going to have it tuned by pbj in st.louis. what else do you want to know? im not sure about power im looking for an estiment after i get all those parts on it.

I don't have any personal experience with PBJ, but do a little reading into them, I've heard both very good and very bad. Good luck either way.

I went 12.65 with a 1.86 60ft last friday. mods are Ls6 intake which is factory on my 01 T/A, longtubes catless y-pipe, and a borla catback, Tune , built auto with stall,...... Next up cam 228/230 588 592 on a 112lsa..... Im thinking deep into the 11's

what stall are you running and what tires?

Yank 3600 and Nitto 555r at 17.5 pounds of air in them

that's good for just long tubes and cat back.stall what trans cooler are you useing?

no tranny cooler installing this weekend, going with a B&M, Im damn sure I can get 12.40's out of my car. I beat BAMA tuned 5.0's all day... then night we went to the track i drove there and started making hits. Im going with the V.2 cam next and 3.73 gears !
