What's the cheapest upgraded brakes for impala SS. I've heard fbody calipers and such. But I just want someone's knowledgeable opinion. And whats involved with each swap.

What's the cheapest upgraded brakes for impala SS. I've heard fbody calipers and such. But I just want someone's knowledgeable opinion. And whats involved with each swap.one
Ive done brakes on a couple of w-bodies. If you can find a set of GXP brakes those would be your best bet IMO. My friend had the f-body calipers on his GTP and IMO the GXP brakes are better. Some times you can find a whole set up on ebay with low miles for cheap. Or go cheap and get some good rotors, pads and flush the fluid and add Dot 4 fluid. On my 04 impala SS I did power slots, hawk pads and the dot 4 and it stopped awsome.

Good deal...the fact that the same brakes the SS have are on the ls is sad, and the braking sucks on these cars.
