Chevrolet Camaro 1967-2002 - 1998 Slide Out Cup Holder Installation

I bought a 1998 Camaro 3.8 5 Speed with a broken slide out cup holder on the passenger side. It appears to be broken off completely and all that's left is the shell of the sliding mechanism, spring underneath. I can/will post pictures if necessary.

I bought a replacement cup holder, complete with new spring, etc.

Question is how in the world do I install it?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

i have same problem. Everytime i let someone else drive my car, something gets broken. Bought a new slide out cup holder but no idea how to get the broken one off and the new one on.

i bet others of you have had to replace that cup holder; please tell us how to do it. thanks ;)

If I remember right, it's screwed in. I think you have to remove the center console to change it.
