After a night of hard driving... my LS1 began to make a knocking noise. Oil was a bit low when I checked, filled it up with about 2 quarts :bang: I swear the one time I forgot to check it... Anyway after I filled it up, sound went away. But, I go out to test drive it and it came back. It makes the sound at idle and right as I start to pass 2 grand. The sound (as best as I can describe it) sounds like rattling/knocking/chatter like metal on metal. On top of that, my oil pressure is unusually low. I had a friend tell me it might be a spun bearing... That usually causes low oil pressure correct? So I had no reason to disagree. Another thing that came to mind was possibly a collapsed lifter? Anyone agree/disagree or have another explanation?
