Default put in a clutch that weighs a total of 23 lbs, car wants to stall (UPDATED)

installed a new clutch tonight, a mccleod twin disk single strap.......the entire assembly weighs 23 pounds.....when you rev the car, boy does she rev quick.....but she also "derevs" rapidly as well.......so rapidly that 4 out of 5 times i rev it, it stalls and i have to restart it.....the guy i bought the clutch from told me i need to do the following phrase to fix it.......

IAC motor........keep open setting high so it has a dashpot.......minimum air set high

semi confused with this statement.....my tuner uses hptuners, and kinda knows what the phrase means but not 100%......so using hptuners, how can my tuner fix this issue? the car is always wanting to stall, but if you seen my other post, that could be related to my o2 sensor not communicating......but again it almost always stalls when you rev it to 3000+ and it let it attempt to return to idle....

I would try slowing down the decay of the throttle cracker or follower tables. It will allow the rpms to come down slower to idle.

Good luck

Wait, you have mechanical issues and you're going for a dyno tune?

You're in for a bad time.

isnt that stalling just a fact of the lighter clutch ? i think that setup is quite a big lighter than stock , the stocker has to weight about 22 lbs .

lol the stock complete setup is like 51 pounds......forgot to update, but i thought he tuned the rear o2s out...after he rechecked the tune on his laptop, he never did.....so tomarrow we r goona change that....forgot to ask the autozone guy which o2s were throwing the code.....just figuredthe fronts.....as far as the car always stalling, the pcm fixed it herself.....kinda....when you push in the clutch and hold it while driving.....she drops a little slower and never goes below 1800....which is semi an issue we will fix after ocean city.....if im doing like 50 in 5th, the car wont slow down when you let off the gas because whenever the car is rolling, she puts enough fuel in to keep the rpms at 1800....so basically even with my foot off the pedal, shes still getting gas.....unless im still
