New LS1 Owners - Newbie Tech - hi

hi im looking to buy a used 4th gen camaro 95-02 and i was wondering
what what i should watch out for or look for when buying a used car
i just turned 18 and i no dont know much about cars. id apreciate all advise

Listen for the rear end to whine mainly. And other knocks and Bangs. Check the fluids. Get a cold start listen for ls1 piston slap. (It doesnt affect the car in anyway but its a good way to say "well its making a noise you should take 200 dollars off" ) Crawl under neath check for rust/leaks. Basic stuff. Power window motors and other electrical problems. Blown speakers is another big thing. That's basically what goes wrong in the first 150k miles.

first get a 98 to 02 camaro/ firebird. (ls1) and the windows are comon on the cars and listen to the rear. i would check all fluids and check the tranny dipstick for burnt fluid smell. ask him for maintness records. and make sure the body panels never got painted. looks for nibs and color changes and orange peel ( they might be close but if you look close enough you can tell.
