Back in '09 me and my buddy made a carbon fiber sail panel for my t-top camaro (no one offerd one back then). It was a mold and its gel coated. I've got a 2 small cracks that I want to repair but I'm not sure how to go about doing it, and I haven't found a body shop that's made me confident they know what to do either. I'm thinking about sanding it a little and building it back with the epoxy used on boat repair...sand and repeat if needed. then wet sand the entire panel and do 3 coats of uv resistant clear. Any thoughts on if I'm going in the right direction? can anyone recommend a good uv resistant clear coat? Thanks.

Carbon fiber isn't really repairable

Its not the carbon fiber that I'm trying to repair. Its the crack in the gel coat
