Special Edition Vehicles - what makes an SS into a real Dale Earndhart edition? seller sais his car is one

I need to make sure Im not getting scammed. Its a 2000 pewter SS. Its an automatic, supposedly its an slp ss. Only I thought the only dale earndharts were black with black billet grills and 200s american racing wheels?

anyway, it just has silver 10 spokes, and the only thing I see on the car that sais its a dale earndhart edition is the little badge under the driver tail light.

it also has cloth interior. Soo.. automatic + cloth interior= real thing? or is this guy twisting my leg?



and if it truly IS a dale earndhart SS... what would this thing be worth? he sais its mint and has 45000 miles

sooo.. does this thing look legit? Im not gonna be buying it from him, rather trading my 2004 gto automatic with 106k miles. Im only doing this so I can flip this car and hopefully sell it for around 12000. does that sound like the right price for this car?

there is only one dale earnhardt camaro and its a 2001 imtimidator they are all signed by earnhardt im 100% sure its fake

The car is a fake, the badge on the inside door jam is a badge you can buy off of eBay labeled as a slp clone jam badge. If the gauges and seat dont say it and the SS badges on a Dale edition are different as well it is a circle instead of the regular SS. It isn't real. If all else fails check the VIN but I'm 99% sure it's a fake

this guy is swearing up and down its one. he sais all the decals under the hood has the dale earnhardt badge. Im still waiting on those pics to come..

Sorry they have the regular SS badges plus a intimidator badge under it, sorry. They only came in black and as far as I can tell they are all leather

Ive been around fbodys for years and have had 5.. and I always knew what the intimidator SS looked like.. but this guy had me questioning myself for a minute.

No problem guy I did a shit ton of Internet work before I bought my 96 SS cause I know there aren't that many of them and everyone try's cloning, but luckily for me it turned out to be the real thing. I can't believe this guy thought he could get that to pass as an intimidator lol he might be able to pass it as an SS cause that's a lot closer to what it is, it's a regular Z/28 with hood and spoiler

Lol yes it is too a fake. My 96 Camaro SS's is a sticker from SLP none of them had a decal package, that I know of mine came with all options, oil cooler, suspension, tires ect. They were paper stickers the whole time just like everyone else's, and they go into more detail instead of just saying "tires" and graphics"

Your car might be different though Xsta Z 28, since there were only 9 of your car built, but all door jam stickers I have seen on all my cars have way more information on them than that metal decal does

The badge on the back below the taillight could just mean the care was purchased from that dealership, but it is definitely not an Intimidator SS. And I thought that later SS cars were built by GM, not SLP?

There were Dale Earnhardt Signature Series Camaros, most of which had black and white checkerboard seat inserts, and I think the last year they made those was 1999. I don't have my files on this computer to check. I believe every single one of those cars was black.

There was also a Chevy dealership in NC I believe named Dale Earnhardt Chevrolet, and the badges were put on many, many, many cars.
