I hate those cars because they do everything so well. They handle like they are on rails, they rip through the 1/4 mile bone stock so well and they cut a 0-60 in 2.9......fucking sub 3.0 seconds for 0-60.

Anything else with that kind of performance would easily be 200,00.00 and you'd never want to drive it in the rain. The GTR is a monster.

They are however improving 0-60 times in all cars, even RWD platforms it's not unheard of nor is it all that hard to find a car that can cut 0-60 in the 3.5 range.

Cars these days are insane. Cars will always progress but in the past 5 years almost every car is making leaps and bounds that you'd expect would take place over the course of a 10 year span.

Just think of what the new Viper is capable of with minor mods.

True but things are also getting expensive also. I mean yeah whats a Z06 and a GTR cost these days, 80k or thereabouts, thats chump change compared to people that buy ferrari's and whatnot for 100k more if not even more than that for the same performance. But still 80k is a lot. It costs serious money to get a fast car these days. Back in the mid 90s LT1's where pretty damn fast and you could get one new for 17k. I guess that's kinda comparing apples to oranges but just my .02

The GTR does alot more then just blast off a quick 1/4 mile.

You can still go really fast with a base SS with some minor mods and save yourself a ton of money. The GTR offers a full well rounded car for alot less then others. With Nissan your not paying for the status of owning a brand your just paying for the performance.

I have no need to make a u-turn at 154 mph or have the performance of a track car. I like straight line performance, lighting up the tires and having fun light to light via torque. A regular Vette or Camaro with a blower suits my needs and has more then what I want.

True, I was just making a generalization that to get the same level of performance (in relative terms to what is acceptable) it costs a lot more money these days than it did before, but that is the way of all things I suppose.

Arena Mitsubishi in Owings Mills, MD has a couple GTR's on the lot. I didn't look at the price tag but I just looked up the MSRP and they now start at 97k so I would expect after dealer markup they're probably at least 100k

Sooo, who got the GTR?I believe that it is Bruce, (aka: Fartpipe, aka: Z-turd), a guy that used to garner respect for having some skillz for actually driving :drive: his cars...now I supposed he'll just let the car drive him instead LOL. :D ;)

That's pretty funny. I like the GTR's. Originally, they were in the same territory as the Z06 in price and performance, but it looks like they are pushing themselves closer to ZR1 territory for both price and performance as well. It's funny how that evolves.

Yeah those cars are beyond amazing, yes c6zs and what not cost alot new,but soon c6s will be easy to get, getting a c5z is pretty cheap these days for what your paying for, new cars are way to much for me, i will never buy a new car unless i hit the lotto and dont care about money and even then i dont think i could do it

I know the guys that raises all kinds of hell when guys switch from a stick to an Auto.

It really is autotragic that Zturd turned in his man card when he sold the all those M6 vetts and bought a GTR :bomb:

Those cars are indeed awesome - hell, I'd get one if it wasn't so damn expensive. However, given the 90+ k price tag it would be hard not to wanna get a ZR1 for a bit more.

I do love a powerful RWD, but after owning a decent AWD it'd be tough to turn down a GTR vs Z06. ZR1 even makes you think what you'd choose. I'd probably go GTR as well. :(
