Drag Racing Tech - Lt1

Alright guys here is my problem, I just recently put a th350 behind my lt1 and now I'm getting a code 24 for V.S.S ( vehicle speed sensor) and the car will not idle with the engine light on. I did a search and took my vss and hooked it up to my front left wheel speed sensor seem to still be having the problem because the speed is not moving any ideas?

Also do you have to reprogram the computer for this to work or can I just wire it up and go?

Yes, you have to get it programmed to work properly.

Just so that we are clear, I don't care if the speedo is correct or not I just do not want a vss code. So I still have to have it programmed for the vss code to go away when going with the vss to Wss.

Have your programmer turn it off if you dont need it,sorry thought you wanted it to read right.

Needs to be tuned out, if the car was a M6, I beleive you would have been fine but they are expecting an output and thats why its being thrown off.

mmhmm odd. Post this in the LT1 section unfortunately I dont have access to my old tuning software (locked HD on a old laptop) so it is what it is.

I hooked my VSS up to the front DS ABS speed sensor and it worked just fine but the speedo was off. Had my tuner fix the calibration and now it seems almost dead on.
