General Maintenance & Repairs - Need Help! Any ideas

Hey everyone, i have a 2000 auto z28.. When i was drivin my car it made 2 poppin sounds like backfire & turned off. my car turns on & all but after a minute or so, it dies out.. would anyone happen to kno wat the problem could be??

Definitely could be fuel pressure.

If its dying like in an instant and not slowly stalling out over as few seconds.....a failing Crankshaft Position Sensor (CPS) causes engines to instantly die. Then it will start and run perfect, then die again at some point.
And NO....a failing CPS will not show a code or SES light.

@LS6427 yea it turns on fine but after a minute it just dies out & wen i try to turn it on again it wont turn on but if i wait like 10 minutes the car turns on again & does the samething over again.. Where is the CPS located at? to check it, it may be that.

Just drop the starter....its right there. Go buy one and try it out, if it doesn't work return it for a refund. Just tell them it wouldn't fit, that someone modified it for a different style sensor. Works every time......
