Default Do our pushrods have to be hollow?

I was curious about using Ti pushrods to make a nice drop in valvetrain weight and called a custom parts house last week to ask about them. They told me that the LS1 uses hollow pushrods for lubrication purposes and they couldn't do hollow pushrods out of Ti. I was under the impression the LS1 uses a tubular pushrod primarily for weight savings.

So what's the answer?

Thanks!
Dan

Valvetrain weight reductions by pushrod mass have proven to be non-existant if I remember correctly. Waste of money.

How do you think the oil gets up to the valvetrain??? Of course you need hollow pushrods. Unless of course you tapped into a pressure point and had squirters on the valvetrain.

Every pushrod is hollow.
