General Maintenance & Repairs - wheel squeaks at low speeds...???

As the title states. Its in the front wheels and its only around low speeds, wheel bearing maybe? idk? the sounds stops when I apply the brakes?

Have you checked your brake pads?

Yup. If you get 75K miles out of them, you are lucky.

Drilled and slotted rotors are bad about noise if you have them.I allways take my pads before i install them and bevel the edge with a grinder this will stop most all pad noises.

Warped rotors will cause that also. At slower speeds the pads can make noise moving on the slides due to the rotors being warped.

damn, the car has 85,000 miles on it, I do have drilled and slotted rotors...

My front brakes did the same thing. And my pads were practically new. Ended up replacing the rotors, the hubs, and new brake pads.

I have this happening on mine as well, just got drilled/slotted rotors too.

It only sounds like it on the right front...and its sporadic.

Its most likely the hub and bearing. This has nothing to do with the rotors.

If you take the wheel, brake, and rotor off and spin the hub by hand you can tell if its shot. It should be smooth as glass. If it feels or sounds like a meat grinder, its time for a new one.

At 85K, your hubs are nearing the end of their useful (and possibly safe) life.

Mine was also doing the same thing. I then found out after doing some investigating that it was the hardware holding the pads in place were rubbing on the very outer edge of the rotor. Drove me insane, even replaced all of the above mentioned to find out it was the hardware... Took a grinder to the inside corner of it to add clearance and cleaned them up, added new grease and all is quite...
