Qtp work better then Et streets IMO... Ran both, the qtp lasted a lot longer, and generally worked better. Sidewalls hold up a lot better too.

+1 with what he said. I had little bit of ass waggle with the ET Streets and none with the QTP's. I also had Bias ply frontrunners so it wasn't from mixing radials and bias tires.

M6 cars seem to do well with the QTP

QTP's on my car, worked great, dont get caught in the rain with them though!

Wow this is surprising I would of thought the ET street would be the preferred tire.

I guess in the 28x10.50 they are, but not the 27?

M/t slicks when compared to a ATP, I would take the m/t all day long. But the qtp is a ton better then the et street, Hoosier did a lot better with them IMO. Hoosier slick vs m/t it's a preferable thing. I have a local Hoosier dealer I prefer to give money to sonI run their tires now.... I have had the same luck with both brands over the years, with slicks anyway.

I would use the Hoosier QTP over the M/T ET Street.

I ran 26x11.5x15 QTP's for 2 years, then last year went to a 27x11.5x15 QTP. I can get a season out of them, roughly 2-3k miles and 5-10 track outings. I wouldn't think of running anything else on the street.

The QTP 27x10.5 gave me my best NA pass ever.

Note that both of these tires are nothing more than a grooved slick ... the carcusses are the same. With that said, they will pick up everything on the street and offer NO protection from getting cut up and will throw everything they come in contact with onto your quarter panels.

As a strip tire, I am running QTP 27x11.5's and like them. I wanted to dial my car in on a 27" before moving to a 28" ET Drag.

Also remember that these will lose air pretty quick if you don't use the "Dawn trick" or similar. I have not lost a single pound of pressure since I mounted them in March.

Also remember these are bias ply tires ... don't mix them with a radial front. It would be reasonable to mix a rear drag radial with a bias ply front however.

A 17317 is a DOT drag race radial ... this post is discussing QTP's/ET Street's (bias ply tires).

This is not to say there are some that do not run them on the street, but beware of there intended use. Personally, I choose not to run them on the street because they are very susceptable to damage and the last thing you want to do is plug/patch a race tire, although, some chance it ... I am just not one of those.
