Default 93-96 Dash Pad

Mine is cracked all up and some pieces are missing. Where can i get a new one? does GM still make replacements? Would my only option be a salvaged camaro?

Yeah im seeing replacements for $300. and then im seeing covers for $120. Will a cover work? would it look like ****, stick out, and be obvious its not a piece? I want it to look natural and the way its came stock but dont know about the covers.

I would say save your money and get oem parts .Those covers are cheaper for a reason, its not gonna look great. There is a oem 1 for 239 plus shipping.

There was talk of someone making a Carbon Fiber one awhile ago but there's been no updates.

I don't understand what he did at the defroster vent. Did he actually cover each louver or trim around the edge?

I would imagine you just take a sharp razor blade, and cut a slit in the middle of each opening from the backside. Then you can fold them in and glue them down.

That link to the V6 F-body page is great, there is another link on that page back to a thread here with another way of repairing and covering the dash pad. Very nice work done on both pages.

At worst you are already figuring on replacing the entire dash pad, so if you screw it up more while trying to cover it with vinyl you haven't lost anything but some money for the fabric, glue, and your time.

I'll be giving it a try myself very soon. Great thread.

They are so hard to find, I ended up buying one from the stealer, $350.00 + tax = $377.00! But I wanted it to look like original...
