Default White Overlays

Ok, everyone who has owned them chime in. I'm lookin to order a set & would like some feedback. I'm talkin just stick on white overlays.

Its between:

MacEwen
Hawks Third Gen.
WS6store

I wanna know if there is a difference in quality material/adhesive wise? Hawks is the cheapest but is it of lesser quality? How about Ws6store vs MacEwen? I know MacEwen already has been around for a while & many people are happy with theirs. but he is also the most expensive, so is the quality worth the extra at the end of the day or are they all created equally?

Just found a older post stating that Ryan makes the overlays for WS6store, any truth to this? That would mean if true you could get the MacEwen at the Ws6store pricing? I know WS6store used to carry MacEwen brand but now its their house brand (RPM speed) I believe.

Any input?

Anyone at all have any input on the ones from WS6store or Hawks?

I knew the MacEwen overlays had great reviews. I was just wanting to see if the others were the same quality. No sense in payin more for the exact same product if it can be had cheaper. I'm not against payin MacEwen's price but only if they really are a superior overlay to the other options listed.

Does MacEwen make them fully custom or is it you get what he wants to sale?

As far as I know he only offers Silver & White for our cars. But he might make them a different color if your willing to pay for the difference. I'd say email would be your best bet as I got a fast response from him when I sent one to see if they were in stock & ready to ship.

So no one has bought a set of these through WS6store thats weren't the MacEwen brand?

I'd really like to get some reviews of those, guess if no one else has I might just have to be a test mule then.

Ok, talked to WS6store & they said the RPM overlays are good but light doesnt shine through quite as good as the MacEwens, they only dropped MacEwen b/c of the past issues I think basically everyone experienced at one time or another.

So seems like fit/finish & quality all go to MacEwen. Looks like thats what I'll order & hope my experience with him isnt a waiting game to get my damn overlays like some people have had to go through.

Well so far he has been prompt. I shot him a email & he replied within a couple hours. Verified he has them in stock ready to go & if my order was in today in time they would ship out today. Placed my order for just the cluster set & it was $72 shipped.

WS6store also told me they spoke with him & he told them he has corrected his past issues & is back on track now. So this will be my test, if everything goes as it should I'll have my overlay by Monday/Tuesday at the latest.

I will definetly get pics. And I'll have a stock Trans Am bezel with a brushed Aluminum overlay installed for sale along with a stock Camaro cluster & bezel in great shape. I originally was gonna order the 6LE overlay and use his bezel with a Camaro cluster. But never could get the cash together for his overlay.

So far Ryan has been very quick in his email replies & even getting me shipping notification that said its shipped out & should arrive in 2-3 business days. We spoke about his past issues with shipping delays & he assured me those days are in the past. So I'm gonna expect my overlay to arrive by Tuesday at the latest cause we all know how slow snail mail can move.
