i got a 1999 z28 camaro 6 speed and when i run it and shift at 6200 rpm the gear won't go in is that cause of the syncros or what? It runs good its fast it just won't let me shift at the higher rpms like over 6000 i don't know why? I thought it was just me missing gears this is my first muscle car but its not me when i shift at 6200 rpm its like a wall blocks the gear and you shift as hard as you can and it wont go in? Help me thank you

Do a search for the "drill mod". It's an issue with the factory master cylinder line not allowing enough fluid flow to the slave cylinder.

Ya thats one fix... Another is the fluid in your master cylinder is probably old and is broken down. From the heat of the exhaust it heats up the fluid and allows it to compress instead of accuating your slave. Start there, see how it goes.

I've got the same problem, just haven't gotten around to change the fluid/drill mod. Mostly because it's a pain and I don't have the time haha

Mine will let me shift at high rpms if i shift really slow, otherwise it locks me out

I know that feel about time.

Since I don't really drive my car that hard anyways Im going to deal with it until I buy a tick master cylinder.

Yup, I don't drive mine hard either so it doesn't bother me that much.
