I cannot get this slp lm1 to stop resting on the panhard bar. Ive tryed adjusting the exhaust doesnt make any difference. Its driving me crazy cuz it keeps rattling. Im almost to the point of takin the panhard bar out, but I dont know if it will affect the handling or what any suggestions are greatly appreciated
The panhard bar keeps your axle centered in your car. DO NOT REMOVE IT!!!!!
Where is it rubbing? Do you have any pictures of the issue?

Im not going to remove it that was me getting frustrated. anyway its rubbing where the 3" pipe goes to the 2 1/2 dual outs no pic cuz its night time
Does the merge need to go up, or towards the rear of the car? Im trying to see it mentally but its been long time since we put buddies on his car.

In the past, I've had this issue with certain catbacks and had to actually move that hanger (just drilled new holes and moved it to a slightly different location in the frame). Another option would be to have an exhaust shop (or someone with a welder) modify the mounting point on the pipe itself.
There used to be a company that sold a replacement upper panhard bar that dipped down to offer more clearance for true dual setups that were routed over the axle....but I don't remember who made those. That should take care of the problem as well, but would probably cost the most.

Is it the PHB rubbing or the upper bar? UMI makes a relocation kit for that upper bar.

Wrap it in heat tape so it no longer is rubbing so you can hear it?

Like MasterTomos said, you could always get a panhard bar relocation kit. It has a dip in the bar where the over the axle pipe goes. It wad made for a true dual over the axle setup but sounds like it would work in your case. Most aftermarket exhausts are tight in that area. I think both BMR and UMI both make that rod.
It's either that or try to fabricate the exhaust the best you can to keep it from rubbing.

well i actually found the rattling it was the heat shield for the gas tank. I stuck a rubber bushing between the pipe and the panhard bar for a quick fix from it rubbing. I think i might just take it to a shop and have them move the mount a little bit. Thank you everyone for the great replies gave me some good ideas.

foundersperformance.com also sells a panhard bar relocation kit that is considerably cheaper than the bmr and umi variants
