Carbureted LSX forum - Why are people putting their Carb on backwards?

I have noticed people installing their Carb's on backwards with these LSX engines. Is there a specific reason for this.
I have a Holley 750 cfm vac. secondary.

Not really possible...they are probably running the fuel line up the back,not turning the whole carb around.

Yeah, ive never seen anybody put a carb on backwards either. That would make your throttle cable routing kinda interesting. Eric L

I might run mine sideways. I read that some people were having success with that.

I dont know how well it works, but it helps to clear the cowl on a 4th gen. Eric L

Yeah I was confused because I have never seen it done before until I got into this LS build. So I will be putting mine on correctly. Thanks guys.
