Carbureted LSX forum - going to wheel dyno tomorrow any guesses???

here is my setup let me know what you think it will make at the wheels

1992 mustang hatch
ls2 stock bore and stroke
scat rods
+12cc dome wiesco piston
sdparts cnc'd ls3 cyl head shaved .030
.040 cometic head gasket
gmpp single plan intake with 1050 demon
custom patg cam 235/243 .610/.627 110lsa +2 advance
kooks 1 7/8 headers
turbo400 with 8inch 5000stall
8.8 rear with 4.10 spool

i will get some graphs and a short video

Around 450ish whp, but only because the TH400 & 8.8 are going to 'eat' horsepower.

ok you guys wernt to far off.i just finished the final tune and made 460whp 473whtq.i will post a sheet up later. this was done on a dyno-mite dyno.i am not sure if they read a lil different than dyno jet or not.

Cool, I have a very similar Fox build going except using a smaller cam and non ported heads. Please post up when you get it to the track, I'm more interested in some MPH and ET's

With all that compression and ls3 heads with a healthy cam I would expect more.

before the tune the car run a best of 6.55@107 w 1.44 60 in the 1/8.no 1/4 yet
and it made 403whp and 379 tq on the first dyno pull.

With a 5000 converter, you cannot rely on a dyno but for tuning. Numbers mean jack.

one of the interesting features on a lot of dyno's that gets overlooked is the acceleration log. it doesn't do much to compare 1 dyno shop to another but for multiple runs on 1 dyno it will tell a lot. you may have a 450hp motor that takes x seconds to go from 4500 to 7500 where I have a 450hp motor that takes y to do the same thing. it will tell you a lot about what's going to happen at the track.
