I just bought a 2000 Pontiac Trans Am ws6 m6 about 2 months ago. Ill ive done so far is installed an ls7 clutch & flywheel and a new slave/tob. Oh and 2 rear tires. It already has a clear lid and just a cutout, and it has red lowering springs which i think are the the eibach pros. I have a tics adjustable master on the way which will be in this week.
Next thing i want to do is some headers and y pipe. Big issue i think ill have is ground clearance and i really dont want to change the ride height because it looks sweet. Also whats the difference between 1 3/4 or 1 7/8 headers? And i need to keep as cheap as possible without giving up quality. And whats the difference between tuned headers and untuned headers?

i think youre referring to everything being the same length where untuned isnt.
id go with a quality LT like ARH or kooks.

Id like to get some ARH or Kooks but my wallet cant handle that much $$. What about BBK header and Y pipe package any good?

MAY run into ground clearance issues with the BBKs. most people with lowered cars get the kooks, plus the kooks make good power. i'd save and get the kooks...

My car had green eibach springs....dont know what they were but they were lower than the pro kit. I had LTs ORY and cutout on the ory. With nitto DRs i didnt have much of a clearance issue at all.

I have BBK Headers and Y-pipe and I have BMR springs. The Y-pipe drags only on the biggest pot holes and huge speed bumps but mostly I just have to worry about the air dam which hits everything....good thing they'er cheap...

obviously on the headers, one is a larger set than the other basically. you will have more room to grow down the road in the event of a supercharger. if you want to go turbo you can stick with the manifolds for the time being. Torque will drop off slightly with the larger headers, but when you start making real power they really start to show there true colors. now that I am supercharged and forged, I wish i WOULD have chosen 1 and 7/8....as far as the car being lowered, it makes em look awesome, but if not done to spec, it can hurt the 60 foot. we put stock suspension back in my buddies lowered car, and knocked 2 tenths off on his first pass. my car does 1.6x's on the 60 foot with the factory suspension and a stalled auto.
I'm considering TSP 1 7/8"s Stainless Steel. Amazing price, and they have a matching y-pipe... cat'd or not. Just my .02.

Started looking at the TSB's and they look nice especially for the money. I have read about people having fitment problems and having to cut and hammer their car. I dont plan on doing any power adders like nitrous or s/c, but i want to do a descent cam and head package down the road.
TSP's? I haven't heard many fitment issues with them. No header is going to fit 'perfectly'.

BBKs have great clearance. The only issue im having with them is the end of the y is the same as the catback so I need to fix it

I went w/ Pacesetters w/ a 1 1/2 drop on a 2000 Camaro SS and they were fine !!!
