Paint & Body Work - need some input on my thoughts... i dont got a penny though.

ok check it out. when i bought my car, it had a carbon fiber WS6 ram air style hood on it.I have never really been too fond of carbon fiber hoods left carbon fiber... for dear lord at least do a paint border on it or something to tie the paint and the carbon fiber together... anyways, the car was also repainted by previous owner in a black metallic. I was wondering what yall thought about this.. the hood has hood pins and 3 small spots where the gel coat is "chalking", so i want to first mask off the "screaming bird on the hood" and paint the outline of it in like a candy wine, the inside of the border would be carbon fiber and the rest of the hood would be painted to match the rest of the car.... am i stupid or would that be ok? or should i just post the hood up for trade for a factory hood?
