So tonight i was leaving a buddys party and my friend was behind me in his 06 350z also an auto with under 50k miles on it. he pulls up next to me we are both rolling at about 25mph and asked if i wanted to run them real quick i laughed and said hell yeah, i hear him stomp it so i do the same and next thing i know im going 80 and he is at least 3 car lengths behind me. i remember when i wanted a 350.... and to think i was a lil nervous about the race because i know we have similar horsepower but i have at least 40 more torques but his car is at least 200lbs lighter than my car so it surprised me

350z auto.... that alone makes this an easy win. the 370 autos are a bit better, either way i never understood why people would get a sporty car and get it as an auto.

yeah i did u slaughtered him lol, and btw i had my heart set on a gto , i was looking and looking but all were too much for me, and when a ls1 camaro landed in my lap for 6 grand with only 85k miles i bought it, wishing now though that i had bought the gto, dont get me wrong though my car is balls to the wall fast...but its not a pontiac...and its not a gto lol. how you liking yours though

i bought mine cuz it was 6 grand and was babied by my neighbor who is this old guy and it fucking amazing condition and all the m6's i came across were beat to hell and back,but i know what you mean i have an sr20 240 in my garage thats a 5 speed that i beat the shit out of lol i use the camaro as my daily and trust me my next car is going to be an M6 6.0 gto

Nice kill OP. BTW all the ls1 fbodies were right around 350hp regardless of what they listed the hp as, so no he was out of his league there also.

I love my GTO. In fact, lastnight i was driving by the bar and 3 people come running out and stopped me. Im thinking oh fuck, what do i do lmao. They were like dude! My buddy who works at the tire shop put on your slicks, and he said when you left you were like a rocket lmfao. So they all wanted rides, drunk bastards haha. Never been impressed with the performance of the 350z but they are pretty sweet cars. They sound like dust busters/leaf blowers though.

That's kinda like the 370 nismo that I raced. She floored it and got two lengths ahead while I was in sixth at 62mph. I just downshift to 5th and came around her at 110. She tried claiming she wasn't racing but when I mentioned she was going over 100, she shut up with her excuses. Retard.

350Z's should definitely be a cake walk. My first race in my Camaro was against an orange '03 base model with the 6spd. Many many cars and the further we went the worse it got! But heck, he ever so slightly walked away from my old GT when I had it (both the GT and Camaro were/are automatics).

A 370 NISMO on the other hand... They should at least put up a fight.

more than a bit i ran 13.2@107 stock in my 09 370z auto. more than enough to walk plenty of stock LS1's ;). 350z look really nice but just didnt make enough power down low nor enough TQ. that plus full boltons ans they still couldnt crack 12's. took nitrous or FI. main reason i sold my 370z. basically mid 12's around 114mph is the peak a full bolton 370z can hit. and its frigging expensive to buy aftermarket parts for them too! and a base model 370z will out run a nismo model. fyi the extra weight of the nismo counters the few hp you actually Truthfully on a dyno gain from the exhaust upgrade.

A 350z HR or 370z should be a pretty good race for a stock ls1 car. We would have been a good race it sounds like. :usa:

Kid in my town picked up a Nismo 370z. He's been claiming it makes 350 to the wheels (it's stock) so when I run him we'll see how true that is.

I put 2 lengths on a Nismo 370z from a roll awhile back in my stock '00 SS. RaptorWs6 watched from his Tahoe lol!

330ish Hp and im pretty sure only bout 270ish torques, the nismo makes 350hp yeah but at like 7,200 rpm lol

I had black one revving at me in stop and go traffic. Ofcourse he had 2 trash cans in the back that made it louder. I just looked and drove off, he switched lanes passed me and revved it again. They wonder why they get a bad rep. Then when they lose, you get a ricer fly by and post it saying they blew by you and there sh*t is soo much faster lol. Good kill OP not suprised at all, you bought what you bought so just put a stall in it, gears and trans cooler with a good tune and that right there should wake that thing up a bit lol, let the modding begin. The auto 350 is hella slow reminds me of the 99-04 mustang GT auto's. Ive seen one nice 370Z blacked out and i have to admit it looked really nice.
