i feel the slippage when shifting on high rpm only. The car pass 5th gear 40mph roll test, but fails it when the cluch is dumped. No mods on the engine.
May i get away replacing oem pressure plate with clutch disc (gm part nr. 24255748) and reusing old flywheel? The flywheel can be resurfaced and all assembly balanced right? Thanks

Most people don't recommend resurfacing the flywheel. If I were in your shoes, I'd upgrade to an ls7 clutch kit, which has more clamping force. Not much more money, if any. As far as rebalancing, I've balanced clutch kits, but it's overkill for a street car. Your engine is internally balanced. And oh yeah, you posted this in the wrong section. ;)

Thanks for the answer and sorry for posting this in wrong section, mods please move it where it belongs.

2008+ models already have Z06 clutch from the factory, so im surprised it let go so soon. I live in Europe at the moment so shipping the whole (probably about 80 pound packed) assembly will kill the deal, It would be such waist to get rid off the stock flywheel if its still in good shape.....
