meziere water pump thermostat neck size???

I need to change the thermostat out on my Meziere water pump, but I cannot find anything big enough to remove the neck. I have a deep 46mm socket, and its larger. Anyone know what size it is?

I measured 2-1/8", but you could wrap the neck or the jaws of large channel lock pliers in electrical tape and use that to loosen it.
