Default Alternator can bolt directly to L33 block???

I'm waiting on brackets to arrive as I'm using and ls2 water pump and vette balancer on my l33 for its swap into a first gen 4runner (if yall are ever on pirate4x4 you've probably seen some of my crys for help) Anyway I ordered some brackets to pull the accessories back closer to the block. They haven't arrived yet and just monkeying around I realized that the truck alternator lines up perfectly with two bolt holes on the block, and just needs what looks like a 3/8ths spacer. Any reason not to run this? Light and eliminates parts...

No, but I see no reason it wouldn't work for you as long as you have adequate "belt wrap" and some type of tensioning device...

I did something similar with the cylinder head bolt holes. I was surprise how much the bolts deflected though. I added a support off one of the front bolt heads to keep the pulley in line.
