hey guys i got a quick question, Im deleteing the ac side of the heater core so does the system have to be sealed? im just wondering cause there was a hole on the bottom side of the ac so i was wondering if it needs to be sealled or not.

First question are you removing for the room, or just ditching a/c to ditch it?

hole at the bottom is the a/c drain, the evaporator when it cools air it condenses the air and water droplets form on the evaporator and have to drain out, if you cut out the evaporator and leave a big gaping hole you probably won't have heat either, heater core and evaporator share the same blower motor so the blower will just blow air through the big hole instead of through your heater core

noo im making a cover plate for it, like the bmr block off plate, but leaving the heat. Im was just asking if it needs to be complety air tight

would anyone else have any comment or idea on this

It does in order for the blower motor to work at it's full potential.

When I deleted mine, I made a block off plate, and used seam sealer from an auto body supply store. It works like it was factory.

If you decide to sell the compressor and lines let me know :)
