New best 60' and raceweight...lol
So I hit the track Saturday after adding drag radials and a torque arm relocation bracket, needless to say it was a disaster because the car would not shift into second gear due to the dreaded limp mode. However I set two prs, a 60' of 1.60 hanging the drivers tire and raceweight of 3810 which is ridiculous, lol. I was pretty happy with the launch at that weight with heavy *** 17x9 zr1 with 275 bfgs, I think it took the tire off the ground every time but the damn thing wouldn't shift!

Your pcm is locked and the tuner did not do the shift fix?????
I though Ed was the only one locking them and I would be surprised if he would forget the shift fix. I sincerely hope the stall wall is the issue but at the same time prepare yourself for some possibility is is mechanical.

I think its stall wall after doing some research...this car also only had a 3000 when I bought it...here's the video

AS You can see it goes right to limiter and into third. PS you can see the wheelie if you pause it lol.

Yes it sounds like the stall wall, But one question, are the tires youre using the same size (height) as what the program is made for? The reason I ask is if you are shifting manually you are going off of a different set of tables and thus different criteria for the shift to happen.
My car a loaded out 97 WS^ with me in it (225) is in the 3750 range, depending on what I ate for supper...lol

Yep its the stall wall issue. The 4000 rpm stall seems to be the magic number. My car was fine with a Vig 3600. As soon as we re-stalled it to 4000 that issue arose. I've seen it pretty consistently at the 4000 mark over the years of working on these cars. Easy computer tune/fix.

Appreciate the replys, however this isnt a mail order tune its a dyno tune. I talked to them yesterday and they said they do not lock PCMs, so im lead to believe there is a wiring or electrical issue with the car which is why i cant get into the tune, or at least the trans builder couldnt. The tune besides the trans is great, perfect WOT afr, no buck at 1200 rpm, but its slightly aggressive and could use a little less timing.

I have to agree that you just have tuning issues. If it's not stall wall then your shift points need to be adjusted. Changing tire size will throw them off. The PCM commands the shift but many other variables dictate as to how long it actually takes to make the shift.
