They did say it was over 100 degrees out when they did that first 200mph run, not sure how serious he was, but wonder if those were the same conditions on the dyno and it was a scorcher of a day.

They never said how high, but they kept bringing up the elevation being a factor so I'm guessing that was hurting it too. 196 on a hot day with a supercharged car that I'm sure was getting some serious heat soak is pretty damn good either way.

I am pretty impressed with this car. I agree with that guy in the video, it's one of the best bargains for the money I've seen in a while. The ZL1 just can't compete with this in my opinion.

I'm anxious to see a match up vs the z06. Big hp dif. but big weight dif. too and tire dif., I don't care though I just wanna see them go head to head.

this car is a bargain. right now nothing touches it for its price.

That's a serious car, ford is really coming around. I think the ZL-1 can compete with it in the corners, but as far as power the GT500 takes it all the way. Definitely the faster of the two.

yes both trans get hit with the gas guzzler tax.

They said they were about 2,000 ft elevation, but the listed elevation is 3,333'. The density altitude read 5130 at 7:43 on their computech. With temps even in the 80's, that's just plain fast. This car is really something.
