OK so I bought a "REPAIRED FAST 90" for $525 from ObsceneHP last year in March/April that was supposedly "professionally repaired". As with many people who do a build, this part sat on my shelf for 5-6 months as I saved money to buy Heads / Cam and other mods. When I actually got around to having everything installed in Nov. it seems as though the FAST was not repaired so "professionally" after all. Within the first night it began to come apart and developed a NASTY vacuum leak. Once the problem was isolated I contacted ObsceneHP to inform him of the problem to try and work out a solution. After 3 "kind and diplomatic" PM's with no response, I finally PM'd him a more upset notice and threatened to POST this on the forum, to which he finally responded in a undignified manner. He then told me he had repaired many intakes using an "AIRCRAFT EPOXY" that was stronger than the original plastic and none had failed and tried to blame the failure on the installer having dropped or damaged it. He also said to go ahead and POST it because he had others that had no problem to back him up. After being assurred that the failure was purely a result of the repaired portion coming undone he asked for pictures, which I provided. He then said he would get back to me to work out a resolution but never did. Several PM's later with no response I tried to cut my losses to sell it to someone with the expertise to fix it, with no luck. I then shipped it to SPINMONSTER from Corvetteforum who is known to be able to fix FAST manifolds. He reported back that he could not fix it because the repair had been done with the wrong type of epoxy and he could not remove it thoroughly enough to attempt the proper repair. This left me in a pickle since I sold my LS6 during the install and was left with a POS and no help to replace it or fix it. So I had to buy a whole new manifold to get my car running right. Several more PM's to ObsceneHP informing him of my attempts to fix it went unanswered. I also contacted the MODERATORS for advise on how to proceed, and got no response from them either. So now it's basically like this, FUCK YOU ObsceneHP... you are a low life cocksucker. I hope nobody else buys anything from this unscroupulous piece of shit. I wish I had the $$$ to fly to Indiana and get my money back from this motherfucker!!!!!!!!!!! Hows that for "court" shit head!

Yea it sucks, but what can ya do? He won't respond cuz I don't think he is on here enough to care. He damn sure can't argue the point either cuz he didn't do a very good job fixing it, but I couldnt tell because of the paint, he's wrong for selling it like that, and most of all extremely wrong for how he chose to handle/ not handle the situation. Karma's a bitch tho!

What part of Indiana? That's where I live lol. So is the intake beyond fixing whatsoever?

No, I bought the part , got it and looked at it and it seemed ok at a glance. But it was painted so the extent of the repair was not as apparent. Once it was installed (months later) and saw some engine heat it came apart immediately the first night. I had to scramble to find any intake to replace it, so I ended up using an ls2 for a while. Once the FAST was off is when it became apparent that the repair was not done correctly, and it was borderline whether it should have been attempted at all. It was supposedly leak and pressure tested, but that wasn't the problem. There were spots where the epoxy either didn't set right or harden properly. Also lots of some kind of RTV type stuff that just fell apart when painted over. Like I said before, after being ignored months I sent it out to an expert(SpinMonster) for a second opinion, he said originally he probably could have fixed it as long as it wasn't going to be a NOS or boost car, but he would have used different materials and added bracing.
None the less I contacted ObsceneHP as soon as the issue was diagnosed in Nov. and initially I was ignored. Then once he responded I gave him plenty of time for responses and to suggest a fair and reasonable resolution but he chose to just ignore the situation entirely. That's what really made me upset. I realize i bought a repaired part(even though the ad post said "PROFESSIONALLY REPAIRED"). I felt confident that if there was an issue he would stand by his work and at least look at it. Thats why I didn't ask for a full refund, and offered to send it back to him so he could see for himself. So regardless any stand up person would make some effort or gesture to make it right. He didn't, that's SHADY BUSINESS period!

It is for me, but I don't have the expertise, tools or equipment to really give it the attention it would take. Sent you a PM
