Midwestern Members - My first experience at Strats (Villa Park, IL)

A friend and I went cruising this past Saturday night, and decided to check out Strats Resturant and see what it was like. Now I know why you guys try to avoid this place. I actually had some tool ask me if my convertible came that way from the factory?? :gtfo: My freind told him that no it didn't, we got bored earlier in the day and broke out the sawzall. ;)

Yeah strats used to be a good place to hang out. The cops scope the place now but every once in a while you get a good showing. But for every good car there seems to be 3 beaters. Or if your lucky you see a 16 year old with daddy's car trying to do a burnout and running into the median ha ha

Strats is a DUMP! I refuse to go to that place at all cost! WAY too many young punks talking shit and getting drunk. I have the personality that feels it is best not to put myself in that type of environment to avoid jail time!

If you guys are looking for decent places, a group of us have been trying to get '4 corners' back on the map. Last weekend there was a decent amount of car, and there was even some vehicle acceleration competitions :) (on a closed course with professional drivers of course).

Good ol four corners...where and when do you guys meet?

They always have shit goin on...every Tuesdays is a car show (200 ish cars), and usually friday and saturday nights. 10 oclock ish

Like I said, we are trying to get it back on the map, if you are thinking there is 30 plus cars on the weekends your gonna be sadly mistaken. I have been there the past few weekends and the best part is no cops at all so far. The more people continue showing up then the better off the place will be

Nice. I was actually born in Downers Grove and spent the first 5 years of my life in Woodridge. My mom's side of the family is in Western Springs so I'll have to bring the Camaro down when I come visit.

People have tried with more then 15 cars and it doesn't work. The 16 year old ricers are like cockroaches!


However, if a few of you wanna meet up sometime any place OTHER then Strats I am always down!

Rumor has it Thursday night at Lukes in Carpentersville is the place to be. It is a hike though but heard it is well worth it!

Why would you feel like a chump? There are plently of cool cars out there that aren't LS1 equipped. The LT1 is no slouch.

I drove my bolt-on LT1 when I had it more then my LS1 now. Be proud of your car man!

Listen dont bash the place. I go there every weekend with alot of other people there if you want action you can find it. Yes there are a bunch of drunk underage kid there but the dont bother anyone. I see action happening there every weekend.
