Hey everyone, Im in the middle of installing my new gauge cluster in my car and need a little help. The sender that came with my new gauges is a 1/8" NPT. I need some sort of adapter to go from the stock size sender to the new sender if there is such a thing. Im trying to put it at the back of the valley cover like stock. If you can help, please let me know.

Thanks,

Dustin

i drilled a hole in the sensor housing after breaking the plastic stuff off then tapped it with a 1/8 npt tap.

Interesting, Do they not make a adapter?

I can thread the stock sender into a 1/2" MIT fitting, but its not tight. It still wiggles some. Does anyone know what this is?

I am pretty damn sure I ended up with a fitting that came from a kit for adapting water temp on all mine that fit the oil sender every time. Weird.

I did it the zero $$ way as well, knocked off the plastic of the oem sender, then tapped it 1/8 NPT

One I did was found a fitting that fit the motor but the oil sender piece slid in, JB weld and BAM, perfect. Lol
