Not really, considering that wrx probably has well over 350 all wheel horsepower. Honorable death for the OP.

It made 354 awhp on a billet wheel 16g. It should be making 400+awhp on a mustang dyno. No track times though.

I highly doubt that subie is gonna skull fuck a bolt-on c6 ls3.....it would probably be the other way around.

well I don't think it would have any problem with a bolt on LS2 vette.

I own the WRX and we just wanted to see how fast my car was after getting a new setup. Transmission still wont let me shift very fast as you can see in the video but every thing else is working pretty good. Finishing the tune sometime this weekend and hopefully will get some more videos.

It would probably be a good run for a ls2 vette. Depending on the bolt-ons. If it's full bolt-ons I could see the subie still losing.

A good bolt on ls2 makes around 400rwhp & weights about 140lbs more but the gearing will come in play like clone said.. I still think it'll be a good run for the subi

For what its worth, my friend has a full bolt on wrx, tuned and boost at 18psi stock turbo, and hes a dead even race with my lt1....Well used to be, his tranny is on the way out so he can't shift fast anymore

A bolt on LS3 would pull that wrx, their gearing makes them terrible straight line cars, even worse if its a 6 speed.

The stock wrx gears are pretty good for roll racing if you've got a broad powerband. I switched to the sti ra gears for strength but now its geared like an evo 8 which does suck

But IMO. Get a Evo over a wrx or sti. I loved my legacy for the car it was. But Subaru blocks aren't as strong and their 5speeds are glass.


In either case. Good death to the OP. subarus on the street can be a handful. A brake boosting turbo awd car can rocket off the break

by your description i think that qualifies as full bolt with everything named... anything past that would have to be built. I take it as anything you can turn a wrench and add is bolt on... ie headers, exhaust, intake, and built more along the lines of cam, head or valvetrain work... by the way i'm luvin your sig "Just another extremely slow stock bottom end ls2 c6 with h/c + some bells & whistles"!

All depends how far you go. The 6speeds tend to hold a LOT more power then the 5s do.

But block to block I prefer the 4g63 to the Subaru blocks.

My LGT was stock turbo and just about maxed out on it. But I wasn't building the fastest car and I knew it. Was just enough to surprise most people.... Lol

There are plenty of high hp subarus. But MOST over 350-400 whp require built engines.

i was good at 400awhp and losing fight with Royal Purple sent the number 1 bearing thru the whole motor... so i built it. I agree with ya. but a leggie is a different than an STi...

Spec B is pretty close. And you were lucky. Stock Subaru blocks/pistons don't like that much without meth and e85

Have some faith... A bolt on c5z should edge out a bolt on ls2 c6, mostly a drivers race.. I'm really curious how you'll do against him.. Plan on modding your car a bit soon? If you shift perfect I can see you coming within 2-3 cars of him. Vettes really shine at higher speeds

I have seen tons that claim it but I have outrun about 20 of them just with the Camaro and it was over in 1st gear. Had two claim 550WHP and mopped them up with the Supra in Westminster and another 500HP one in Glen Burnie. Have seen some wicked EVOs though they just can't seem to stay together for long:(

My Camaro is apart for another two weeks(weight reduction) but Ill run with it my Fox body. I have a MK3 Supra that runs low 11s at 128-130MPH on pump gas. JT62,HKS piggybacks,Headwork,RPS triple disk clutch with RPS light weight flywheel(big mistake)carbon fiber ds with chrotreated drivetrain blah blah-adding meth to it and some other little things to knock off the weight(3320 pounds not bad). Just sold my MK4 2 weeks ago. Got offered too much money for it.
