It has a big hood bulge the G8 didn't have, really big brakes and LED running lights up front under the camo.

Could it be packing LSA power afterall? And will it be a Chevrolet badged HSV GTS Commodore instead of a standard V8 Commodore SS?

Mirrors, rockers, and doors look the same. I hope that front turn signal isn't the finished look. :blah:

I doubt the buldge means LSA or LS9. I think it is just styling. I like.:burn:

It looks like the hood is vented too, judging by the mesh on the camo on top of the hood.
The ZL1 has a vented hood as well. There have been rumors for awhile now that HSV will start using the LSA/LS9 Down Under...

Anyone else notice that those front driving lights & rear lights stick out a little bit? Kind of interesting....

Sorry for the double post but if its going to look like the HSV GTS Commodore. Does that mean we might be able to expect the HSV Maloo but instead the El Camino SS?

If this thing comes over to the US, it'll be yet another FLOP by GM.

I think the Fuglyfy it on purpose to throw people off.
Those lights look like they belong on the roof of an 18 wheeler;)

I have a strong feeling that the Gen V will be debuted in the SS. It makes perfect since to debut the next generation of dominance in a car named Super Sport. I will be furious if the "dated" LS3/L99 are the engine options.

I would LOVE for this thing to be LSA powered (nothing will be LS9 powered except the ZR1, in my opinion), but my concern would be pricing. I am very interested in this car, but hoping they can keep the price at/under $40K. The LSA makes it harder to come in at that low price (and I can't imagine an LS9 powered vehicle costing less than $50K).

The hood is definitely interesting. With a CTS-V tailing it and future HSVs being LSA/LS9 powered I really think it's blown.

It's already been stated in the media that it's going to be low production and the price would reflect that. Since the G8 GXP wasn't under 40k I wouldn't expect this to be either.

Corvette usually debuts new engines. However, it is due for 2014 as well. May get a Corvette Introduction followed by this. I do like where this thing is going.

Looks like the front turn, and rear lights are added on for the camo/testing. Might not be the actual production lights.

Yeah, those are tacked on. Production headlights/tails are underneath the camo by the look of it.

I think it's funny how they go through all the headache of covering it, testing, etc etc etc.
"Listen GM, We already know what the Holden looks like. Quit wasting time and money and just change the steering and badges and be done with it...OK? Everyone knows you should've done this about 5 years ago. Stop being jackasses and release the car"
Heck, save themselves the headache of retooling a whole new assembly line and just import them from the AU. The price savings from retooling would offset import taxes. Though, have you looked at the price of these cars in the AU....HOLY CRAP!
I know the look is very different, but if you just wanted the fun factor, buy a police Caprice.
