My car is an 08 LS3 vette A6 auto
Mods are
PRC 250cc aftermarket casting heads milled to 11.25 to 1 compression
TSP 225/230 114LSA cam
vararam
ported fast 102 NW 102 TB
slp underdrive pulley
LG superpros 1 3/4 no cats and LG GT4 catback
the car was tuned by IPS motorsports on a dynojet and put down
484rwhp and 446rwtq
Im curious how much more power i could gain by switching to E-85. I know it does more for boosted cars then for N/A, but i still think it would gain something. The car is not a dd so i dont care about mpg.
Does anyone have any expierence with E-85 on a heads cam car and how much power it added. I would really like to cross the 500rwhp mark. Is this possible
Thanks for any help

THat's healthy through that A6, for sure. Switch to 1 7/8 ARH or Kooks and you'll pick up 5-10 right there. Port that FAST intake to put you over the top. You could also go with a slightly larger cam, something like Spinmonster's, or have PatG spec you one and get to the same place. Do all of the above and you are well over. I have no personal experience with E85. It will get you there with the proper tune but may limit you down the road. Nice build, regardless! Post some pics and graph!

the only real gain of E85 is with anything over 12.0.1 compres. you may gain some. I run E85 but have 12.3.1. If it was me i would play more with cam shafts to find the power you want.

i picked the cam because it was small and not everyone can tell it is in there, the same reason my numbers arent posted on my local forum. I dont want a bigger cam. I forgot the fast is ported. I dont have a scanner so i cant put up a graph.
Here is a vid of the car on the dyno

you dont need a huge cam or big good gains can be made
You need to look into your tune and see how much timing you are running now, and if that is as high as you can go.
When I switched on my current car I was able to go from 24* to 31* which is when it stopped making power, overall it netted me around 15hp but considerably more tq in the midrange as I can run as much timing as I want anywhere on the map without worry of knock

You want to hide the cam sound but you will be a dead give away with the e85 smell :)

I gained 32hp/31tq from E-85 on a cam only LS1. Here is my thread with side by side graphs, Both STD correction, first tuned on 91 then tuned on E-85/injectors:

Since then I have stepped up to 60# injectors/90mm intake/ and did a 9" rear. My current numbers are in my sig after that but up 7hp down 10 torque from those graphs.
Also no before or after dyno sheet for my friends dads 2007 C6-Z06 but he is just Kooks headers/X-pipe/corsa/blackwing intake, still stock intake manifold and throttlebody did 468/457 on 91 octane with no tuning. After ID-1000 injectors and tuning did 532/470 on E-85
