Pontiac GTO 2004-2006 - Went for a ride last night

I went for a ride in impulsegoat GTO last night the car has a new cam & converter.

The car has great manners in town with stop & go traffic.

Feels almost unmodified untill you do a 20 MPH roll or find a nice straight stretch to flex her legs.

Looks like impulsegoat maybe joining the 11 second club if my backside dyno is right.

I gotta git me one.

as you know a quality TC combined with a cam and professional tune is very streetable a long with a very enjoyable power increase.

Glad you enjoyed the cruise Mike, it is pretty frickin nasty from a 20 roll no doubt about it. If i can get it to hook im hoping to get low 1.6 short times. I would be very happy with 11.90s.:cheers:

No doubt, i have pulled pretty much everything on the weight reduction list that i can think of. Actually just weighed the car this past tuesday and with 4 gallons of fuel it weighed 3540lbs w/o me in it (thats full interior and a 12 inch rockford sub in the trunk btw). It's not nearly the pig it was from the factory and i think im going to end up going with a lightweight braille battery and relocate it to the trunk. Weight reduction is free hp, can't beat that. Now Mark's car is one of the lightest/custom goats on the site to my knowledge.

P.S. Mark i know the feeling man about not having your ride. It's sickening after awhile for sure. Mine sat for 4 months this time around plus winter downtime.

Nice of Ya to give me a ride, hope to be able to see you & the Goat at the track some time this summer either Dragway 42 or Summit as I believe you have a 11:90-11:80 in her yet.

The car rides really nice doesn't load up at some of those long lights like the one on Tiffin & Myrtle.

Im not so sure the car has 11s in it quite yet but im pretty confident in a consistent low 12. I think we are gonna try to hit up dragway 42 today if the weather holds up.
