Street Racing & Kill Stories - Stalled TA vs 5.0

Well I guess my question was answered on the street tonight! Nothing fancy or dramatic. Lined up with a newer 5.0, the only mod I new for sure was aftermarket exhaust. From a dig, stalled til about 2k rpm minimal wheel spin I jumped out on him and took it up to about 90mph. When I let off I had about 2.5 to 3 on him. I pulled over and waited for him, tried to flag him down to get details but he did a fly by on me. Sorry no vids, wasnt expecting any action....just wanted some Papa Johns....and up topping off my beef and bacon pizza with a little pony meat!

Last time I had Papa Johns I got a 24 hour bug and ended up puking out of both ends at 4am until 6am. That was back in December...haven't had it since.

After growing up on the border of NJ/NY and having real pizza, I could not eat Papa John again if you paid me.. It taste like they actually cook it in the same cardboard box they deliver it in...The WORST "pizza" I have ever had in my life..by far!

I can live with Little Caesars being bad because at least you expect it when it's as cheap as it is.

My wife and I got Dominos at the beach. It was our only option at 2am we could find and this was after their new "better" sauce I think. We threw away most of it.

Now if I'm in the mood I like me some thin crust Pizza Hut.

And that guy that owns it is in there every day making sure his employees are doing their job right and he make sure the customers are happy by walking around and talking to them. Bad ass place for sure.

On the real though, some of the best pizza I've had is at the Bratskellar in NH and the Mellow Mushroom in Raleigh. Never really been to any real "local" places besides the first one.

Mellow Mushroom isn't bad for a Non Italian themed chain pizza place.

Years ago there was a mass exodus of Yankee's down here to NC and what they brought with them was some really good MoM and Pop pizza joints.

Their New York style pizza's are the best.

There's not much around here (small places), I gotta find a good one for the next time I'm up in Raleigh or somewhere.

Only place we get pizza here is a placed called pizza palace..its decent. Other trunk that we go to BJ's simply cause have good pizza and a micro brewery.

Anthony's has some of the best pizza around me. It's a local chain with about 6-10 pizza joints.

The best pizza is Aurelio's none better in imo

Best pizza in SoCal is pizza mania :0!! That pizza is thick and like 4 slices feels you up big time !!
And I like dominos thin crust :) the super thin one I think it's ok :)

I'm a straight pepperoni guy. I'll eat some other pizzas sometimes, like with more meat, other than that, nah.

Puppy kicking...really?? Man I dont get any action and wasn't looking for any but the dude tailed me all on my @ss until we were in the clear and he wanted it. I get harrassed all the time by random cars because of the lack of knowledge on a non WS6 TA. You'd be suprised at how often I get laughed at or told I wasted my money, lol. But I'm kinda off topic like you guys and pizza, lol. Anyways, I was always told I would get any of the new 5.0s would hand me my @ss. In all I think I have had 5 or 6 runs in my car. Once in the Netherlands on the autobahn, 3 runs against my brother, a 347 stroker stang and now the new 5.0. The 5.0 was my first run with stall and from a dig, jusyt wanted to see how I faired against a car that is putting down at least 40 more rwhp than my 152k, 13 yr old ls1....in the slow bird, lol. I guess he wanted the same thing...somebody had to take the "L"...just glad I am doing ok.

I hate pizza hut. Maybe where you're at the pizza huts are better. The pizza huts around here suck, though.

My favorite pizzas are the store bought Red Baron Pan Pizzas. I stock the shelves and then I buy em. Good stuff.

For deep dish "Pizza Papalis" is amazing!

Last time I was home, I had a large VIP from Pizza Papalis baked, frozen, then I transported it down to NC (High Point) -my oldest son went wild!

Another great Mom & Pop place in Dearborn Heights (on NB Telegraph south of Michigan Ave) is a place called Rosie D's Pizza - IMHO the best "standard / flat" pizza. My second wife (a NC local) took one bite and said: "Yep, that is the best Pizza I've ever had!" We'll have some of both when we go up for the 4th of July or for the Woodward Dream Cruise in August.

I will be home this year for both!! 4th of July is always first holiday i get a chance to run home!

I guess from now on I will look for forced induction Stangs with 4.10 gears, full exhaust, suspension and drag radials. Wtf was I thinking, im horrible for going to get some pizza in a stalled and bolt on TA. Does the stall, gears and full exhaust put me in the super car class???? Wait....that will come when I put on my udp, ls6 intake manifold and bilsteins!!! To the mooooooooooon!!!!! Toll cage and helmet just to go get my pizza!!! Cant wait!!!:headbang:

Look at my last sentence, I said that I could be wrong. I was just factoring in the OP's mods and thinking that he probably knows how to drive his car better than the average Joe that just bought a new 5.0.
