Default 1948 Ford Pickup LS6 4L60ESwap, another question

We followed the consensus advice and went with a PSI harness and PCM (GEN III).
How sensitive is the PCM to moisture? The cab interior has very limited space - will mounting the PCM to the firewall or inner fender be ok?? Where and how are you guys mounting the PCM and associated Eng/Trans fusebox, i.e. do they have to be isolated in a fabbed box?

Thanks for the Help!!

Shop wheels shown. Halbrands are intended.

PCM in stock application as most times mounted under the hood. The trucks even have them mounted pretty low on drivers side fender with a simple plastic holder for them. So they are pretty weather resistant. Most the aftermarket fuse blocks company's make are not water resistant. But unless you driving it everyday day in and out it will be fine.

Any GMT800 truck with a Gen III motor (1500, 2500,3500) 1999-2006 and carryover 2007 models will have a PCM holder and cover.

Thanks! Has anyone lengthened their PCM harness?? We'd like to put this behind the passenger seat and we need about an extra 4 feet of harness??
