Fueling & Injection - 2nd filter with vette regulator?

Hello all,

I'm going to be running the Vette regulator, GM #10299146. Looks like this:

Will I need a 2nd filter between this regulator and the motor? I've heard this is a filter and regulator all in one. Is the filter good enough or should I run another (or 2nd) filter on the single line between this pieces and the motor? Would a 2nd filter hurt anything??

Its good enough for GM to use on the corvette. I wouldn't waste money adding another filter after. Now I would add a filter before your fuel pump if its a inline type to help save you pump just don't get on to restrictive.

Ok, thanks. I got it from a guy who never used it, so it's not brand new and not been in a box. I have an in-tank pump, that's good to know for other projects about the in-line pump.

Yes, that is a combination fuel filter/fuel pressure regulator. The return port is located on it and that is why it has the three lines. The new GM number for that filter is 19299146. Wix also makes it and costs less than GM or Delco. These are designed to regulate for 58 psi (~) system pressure.
It is such a good filter that GM doesn't even list a replacement service life for it on the Vettes.
