Default changer wire location

Forgive me, I must be retarded but I've looked and looked for the changer connection plug in the "trunk" of my 01 SS. From what I understand all Monsoon systems are pre-wired for a changer even if didn't come w/ one from the factory. Is this so? Can someone give me suggestions, or even better a picture of the location. I'd really appreciate it. And also, has anyone ever run into a system that wasn't pre-wired for a changer?

open up your rear hatch, take off the side driver side panel (where the little 4 inch speaker that has a 6x9 grill is) and it should be right there, a wire pack all taped up if you didnt have a changer right from the factory. just plug in the changer and mount it, and you are set to go

Jimmy,

Thanks - I guess I didn't dig far enough. I was just reaching behind the panel, and didn't bother to take it off. I thought it would just be sticking out the back of the panel opening - thanks for your help!
