Yes. Got an LS6 over that garbage LS1. However, we found the problem...the TB wasn't opening all the way. So he was making that 303rwhp on about 50-60% throttle. :lol: Runs MUCH better now.

We're going to get a rematch from a better roll MPH and another dig from a better spot...possibly the track. :lol:

Some ls2 owners are just too damn stupid to realize that the stock manifold is killing thier car with a cam..I put a stock unported fast 92 on my goat and picked up 31rwhp..ls2 intakes are complete garbage.

They use to hang out at the Home Depot on Jefferson Ave. in Newport News by the I-64 on ramp at about 10:30PM and at the Independence car wash on Independence Blvd in VA Beach at about the same time. There use to be a huge gathering at the Bass Pro Shop on Sat. nights at 5:00PM on Powerplant PKWY in Hampton but they had put a stop to it after some idiots ruined it for everyone. They may have started it back up though.

I know I sound like a broken record, but I feel it needs repeating. In those MT82s in the 5.0, 5th is the 1:1 gear, so it just pulls VERY strong up top. With the 3.73s, he doesn't go into 5th until 100mph, so it's perfect time to have a strong gear (we all know how the GM 1:1 gear pulls).

Because stock LS6 intake > stock LS2 intake. He bought the car with the LS2 in it, and it had an LS1 intake on it. He'll probably throw a FAST on it when he gets around to putting a cam in it, but for a stock cam, the LS6 will do just fine.

A ported LS2 w/ stock 90mm TB is leagues ahead of an LS1 intake and will even flow better than a out-of-the-box LS6.

As for power, you have to consider the Camaro is STOCK other than the lid & exhaust, plus its going through a stalled-Auto. I guarantee you it is not making nearly what the Mustang is for power.

I have beaten every mustang to date that I have raced. Cobra's (from stage 6 ported stagmyer to whipple cobra's), 3 valves, n/a 4 valve cobra's, mach 1's, fox bodies, cammed 2 valves,new 5.0's etc. :angel:

And I was usually at a disadvantge in power to the cobra's hp/tq wise.


I just haven't found one yet that has beaten me, but I know of several that would hand me my ass if I did run them. A lot of the GT500 guys I have met don't run them on the street.
