just finished my 97 LS1 swap but cant get the hood to close with my current setup. wondering what other guys are doing for their air intake set up. POST UP PICS!!

Depends on what hood you're running. An LS1 lid swap has been done before, but you may need more clearance on the hood.

Also, perhaps a ws6 or UltraZ hood with an LT1 firebird ram air setup would be effective.

im running the stock lt1 hood, with my volant filter. i can only get the hood to catch the first latch but not all the way.

Camaro or firebird?

The camaro hood is more forgiving as far as clearancing goes for a lid swap. With your radiator that far back, you should be able to do a lid swap no problem.

its a camaro, i wasnt really trying to do a lid swap, i was more trying to go for something a little more custom. I ordered a 45 silicon bend and hopefully that should put my filter down in front of the radiator and should work perfect.
