Hey guys im new to the tread and to the 04-06 GTO's. Use to own a 70. Just picked up my 04 from a local dealer. It is all stock other than wheels. 110k miles and a six speed. :drive: it'll be a daily driver with occasional trips to the track. Let me know what you think!

Very clean and very nice. Only thing I would change is the rear bumper and run dual tail pipes!

Plans are to change bumper and do LT's and dual exhaust. I have some lm1's I may throw on it until I get the bumper and everything else

You could always do this:

Very true and it'd be cheaper. But I love the center of the 05/06 bumpers

Much cheaper.

What exactly do you mean? Are you talking about how "GTO" is sunken in to the gray insert? I personally don't like that about the '05-'06 bumpers. I plan on getting one myself, but I'll be filling in the "GTO" to make everything smooth and then paint it body color.
Like this only painted to match the body:

or this without the removable block for the trailer hitch:

I just think it offers a much cleaner, sleeker look.

OP - how much did you pay? I'm looking at an 04 with the same miles.

Very nice looking car. I like the wheels. Pick up a CAI, LT headers, and a tune, it will be a fun little street car! You may also want to do a search on some bushing's that are probably in dire need of replacing.

With the correct materials (I believe the OP tells what they used) you should be able to do this by yourself even if you don't have any experience doing body work. I might have a professional do the painting, but overall this could be a fairly cheap and easy mod.

well guys had the car to the track wednesday. ran a best of 13.9. it was really humid and i couldnt hook for the life of me. this was my first time at the track. my car is 100% stock. im hoping for a 13.2 with full exhaust and a Drag radial.

Should be capable of high 12's with that combo in decent weather. I think 13.2 is very attainable with those mods.
