For those of you using an x-pipe, anyone using this Magnaflow pipe? Just wondering if it fits...2007. I can't remember the exact size, but if I recall correctly, the stock resonator is longer than 12". Someone set me straight! :eek2:

Correct. You'll need extension pipes to fit an x-pipe in where the resonator was. An exhaust shop should be able to take care of that no problem.

This is correct...its what I had to do with my setup. I swapped to Mangaflow cat back as well, and all the shop did as cut the Magnaflow pipes to fit with the Kooks and the X-Pipe. Then just welded it all into place.
Since you have Kooks and HF Cats also, this is what it will look like...

Bump...in case anyone else has some x-pipe input/experience to add.

Does anyone have dyno/track data on the xpipe? I know other cars love them but I just don't see our resonator being very restrictive. Trying to plan my next power mod. With my magnaflow cats I doubt the x is much difference.
I've searched on this several times. Always find people happy with the X but no real data on the swap.

The stock resonator is an X-Pipe. It just does not have as close to a 90* angel as the Magnaflow Tru X. The only reason I have one is it came with my cat back. And then I bought the Kooks about a month later.

Does the magnaflow tru x actually change the sound from the stock resonator?

IIRC, Magnaflow claims it quiets the sound some.

If Magnaflow says that, they are full of shit...haha.
My car is fairly quiet at idle and in the low RPMs, with a slight drone at about 1500 rpm. But the car wakes up a lot about 2400-2500. When I am driving, I just say away from 1400-1600 rpm, and its almost as quiet as stock. Cruising the highways at 65-80 mph is not bad. I spent 44 hours a those speeds in the fall of 2010 when I drove the car to California and back.

Well. You've got a full exhaust. I wouldn't imagine that were true. What it may do is balance out the sound (ie. low RPM, low sound...WOT, awesome).
Here's the statement from Mangaflow's website: "MagnaFlow's stamped X- and U-Pipe kits incorporate a gentler inner radius that allows for better exhaust scavenging, noise cancellation and better balance between clylinder banks. With this design, power is increased while decibel levels are decreased."
Either way, we're getting off topic. I just want to know if anyone using an X pipe has noticed/realized additional power.

^^ I think the noise statement is only valid when installing it in a car that has no crossover. IE true duals to an x pipe. No way a straight pipe(s) is quieter than a resonator.

Yep. Makes sense, or if you're using a full Magnaflow exhaust.

I have a Magnaflow Tru-X with the chamber around it if your worried about noise. I went back to my corsa. Im in Houston so PM me if your interested in it

Along the same lines...was thinking of putting an x-pipe on my corsa any negatives to that??? Just feel like the stock resonators will rattle a bit at some rpms at times
