Car is a 1999 camaro SS M6 with 4.10 gears. 100% STOCK internals. This car is a bolt on car only.
Mods.
FAST 4150
Vic Junior Intake
1 3/4 long tubes
TSP true dual exhaust
UDP
Car has 2 tunes in it. 1 for E85 and the other for 93.
E85 is in red 93 is in blue. Car was tuned on E85 because I am planning on running a healthy shot of nitrous and the E85 should help out then.

Have any previous dyno sheets with a different intake. Interested to see how much you gained with the Vic Jr. Solid numbers for sure!

what are you bolting to the TB.... air pan? rear of forward opering? open round air filter?
I take it the dyno was open TB, are you gona runa filter on it for street driving, no MAF I take it?

I am going to run the extreme velocity carb hat and run some piping down to the air lid and use the filter in the factory location.
No MAF, speed density tuned.

did you run that on the dyno?
Ive been told privetly form a few people that did, and it was 40-60 WHP over running a open TB. This was on 5-800 whp NA setups, but its whatturned me away for running it for street driving.
If anything I want to make a bigger wide box to bolt over the 4150TB, and tube feed that with a maff in it. And geattring air (sealed) from the front outside of the car.
NA setups don't like the tight carb hat on the TB.

I ran the T.B. wide open on the dyno. I will only run the carb hat setup on the street. It will be super easy to take on and off so if I am out in mexico or at the track, I can take it off real quick and im ready to race. Stop light to stop light on the way to and from places, I will just have to deal with the power loss.

ya,
so only pulls open TB, none with anything on?
if you get the chance I'd like to see how that dose with the filter, on the dyno just for curiosity

Right, only did pulls with the TB open.
I have a few little things to finish up and then I will put the carb hat on it and see what the difference is.

I think you're going to be very dissappointed once you put that elbow on and tubing down to the lid... there's a reason the air pan and opening at the hood isi what most people go for.

Thats great power just by switching gas. Really interested in going on E85 on my car but it already chugs gas i can only imagine how fast my gas needle would move on E85. This is a daily?

This will just be on the street. It will come off when the car is being raced.

This is a daily. The way I figured it up is that because it costs less to fill up but I get less gas mileage then it essentially costs the same as running on 93.

Was a 01 and it was American Racing Headers 1 7/8ths, ARH ORY, SLP PowerFlo, MTI lid, 4L60e and the car had a SFI steel flex plate due to the over torquing issues on the stockers.
For those looking at the graph, the dip at the end was due to a bad plug. I put it on the dyno to diagnose the break up because it was hard to really feel that high up in the RPMs at WOT.
Awesome results Trey. Anyone have any other bolt on dyno numbers they can compare too? I think both are cars are in the top 5% of what bolt on cars make.

OP, what does the car weigh? Is it going to see the track at all?

So a bolt on car with an automatic makes 362/370 with a miss???? :eek2::eek2:

I can never remember anything about your car except for how clean it was lol. My bad. And thanks for the kind words bro.

E85 runs more fuel than regular 93. So what you see as extremely rich on that dyno graph, is actually not rich and right on par. Its just the difference between the 2 fuels.
I asked my tuner why and 15 mins later when he was talking about lambda and theories etc, I gave up. haha.
OP, what does the car weigh? Is it going to see the track at all?
Car should weigh in at around 3300 ish pounds. It will see the track. I need to get comfortable with the car and then im gonna let her eat.

Idk if it was a straight up miss but a slight hickup is what he described to me. His car was legit man. People accused him of having a kit on that car for years lol. It was def a strong car.

I could be wrong but this is how i see it,
it is lean, gas is stoich at 14.7 e85 is 9.7 so you see the 93 at 12.8 or so that is the equivalent of ~8.5 on e85 or .87 lambda

i tested mine last year and i only lost 7rwhp with the hat piped to the stock air box. but i do run mine wide open 95% of the time and im sure it gets more air over the cowl to make a bigger improvement at speed instead of on the dyno

It wasn't as bad as that graph made it seem. It was a slight stutter, so I did the fuel filter and plugs.
Here was my dyno thread ... no one seemed impressed I guess.

Whats your fuel setup and how much miles do you get for a full tank? Is it a DRASTIC difference? Really thinking about doing it.

Fuel setup is racetronix fuel pump and Hotwire kit. 60 lb injectors and teflon fuel lines from the aluminum line to the rails.
I haven't gotten the car back yet. I'm going to get it Saturday. The tuner still has it working on drivability stuff.
Well I love my E85 and this seals the deal on doing the vic jr and 4150. wish I could find a direct comparison of the Jr to the super vic though as Im torn on that

I think the super Vic will make more power. The reason I didn't go with that is because I wouldn't be able to keep my wiper blades. Because this is a daily driver, that stuff is important lol. If ur car isn't a daily or you don't mind using lots of rain-x then i say go for it. I would love to see what a super Vic could offer over this Vic junior.
10secZ28
06-08-2012, 07:59 AM
I would think the super vic would be too much intake unless you port the heads to match the runners, because out of the box the super vic is larger than the stock ports. Where the vic jr is about the same size as the stock head ports
I will have ported heads and cam, I will make it work with the wipers if I go that route, only thing I dont like is the $150 price difference!
10secZ28
06-08-2012, 09:04 AM
I have a super vic with afr 225's and the super vic is the same size as my head ports so your stock heads will need to be heavily ported imo, it is also and inch or so taller than the vic jr so i would like to see how your going to keep your wipers. As far as price i got mine new for 365 from a sponser on here.

It is lean you are just looking at it from a different point of view, 8.5 Afr on e85 is virtually the same as 12.8 on the gas scale at .87 lambda gasoline is 12.79 and e85 is 8.50
sprayedenali
06-08-2012, 10:34 AM
If the wideband was recalibrated for e85 then everything I said is out the window. But assuming it wasn't, then I stand by what I said.
I understand the lambda/stoich/AFR correlation with the two fuels and know the differences is the two readings but unless the wideband was adjusted then his AFR is way off
10secZ28
06-08-2012, 10:55 AM
I would agree with you 100% if it was not re calibrated, but i'm 99% certain it was after talking to the turner yesterday.
