Default Car is randomly shutting off PLEASE HELP!!!!

All right guys I seem to be having a rather annoying problem with my 95 Trans Am. The car just randomly shuts off with out any warning and when I say it shuts off it’s like someone killed the ignition to the car. The funny thing is as soon as the car shuts off I can start it back up immediately with out any problem and whenever the car dies no codes are set at all( according to my scan master). Here is a little info about what I have done so far please note that the car has Bob Baileys LTCC system on the car so there is no Ignition Controls Module. I have replaced the Opti with a brand new Gm unit checked all the ground to the car twice, replaced ignition switch and ignition switch pig tail, I have checked all the wiring going to the LTCC.

check the little red connector above the battery that has the grounds and power. MAke sure they are all tight.

Was that issue ever there before the LTCC?

Well I suspect since you have checked most of the obvious places, I would dive a bit deeper. You say that it feels like someone basically is just turning the key off, essentially. Bad Ignition Switch? Loose Connector? I would check wiring in and around the steering column, and if you decide to dive into it, replace the ignition switch. I am not going to say this is a VATS problem because I am sure you would have said the Security light is on.

I would agree with you on it not being a VATS problem because like you stated no security light. But image allready replaced the ignition switch and wiring going to the ignition switch.

I actually had this problem at one time...driving down the road then just randomly shuts off. How I found the issue was to leave the car running in the drive way and start jiggling/checking wires under the hood. Especially near and around the junction box on the passenger fender well. Come to find out it was a loose/bad wire that when it was sitting a certain way would kill the car. Once I found it I was able to kill the car at will with it.

If it starts right back up then you can rule out the opti. If the optical sensor went dead you wouldn't be able to start it back up. Check the wires as said above.
