Default C5 Five Spoke Wheels

Hey guys I have a local guy selling his silver stock C5 rims I believe their magnesium since their original GM wheels 18x10.5 in the rear 17x9.5 in the front their the five spoke style in good condition some minor curb rash nothing major i knw not the best looking wheel style or the ones I wanted but I got them down to $300.00 for the set so its a good buy??? Since their GM factory corvette rims I ca.buy them and get my money back or how much are they worth??

Those are 500 dollar wheels all day with pretty good tires, iimo for just the rims 300 is a lil much, you can get a much better looking wheel for not much more than that, and i would check tire prices as well, 18 inch tires are pricey, if they come with good tires 300 is a great deal, but unless your stealing those wheels i would move on. Check out oewheels

Well I was going to powdercoat them so they look like new but the only reason I'm considering them is just from the perfomance point of view since GM wheels are lighter than most aftermarket wheels

If they are the magnesium wheels they are worth more than double that. If they are regular c5 wheels that's to much. I sold my set for 350 with great tires. Don't be confused by color as the 03 anniversary cars had a magnesium color wheel but wasn't an actual different wheel. The magnesium wheels have a slightly different spoke design. Just do a search and you will see what I mean. Oh and they would have been 17x8.5 front and 18x9.5 rear if they are real gm.

On the weight factor you will never ever notice the difference from those wheels vs some oe zr1s, i can see wanting to save weight but if its not a full out race car your not going to notice lil things, now in a fully gutted race car i can see keeping as much weight off that you can,imo its not worth the weight compared to looks, if you trying to cut weight bust out the cutout wheel/grinder and go to town lol
