24hr @ LeMans June 16 & 17 on Speed channel. As always, should be a great race. Luv the Audi/Peugot battles in P1 class & team Corvette has a good chance this year in GT class.

I'm really looking forward to LeMans this year with the Nissan Delta wing and the E-tron Audi's. I read Peugeot dropped out because of funding this year?

Wow, that would really suck. Hope Peugot is there; otherwise the P1 class is pointless. Kinda like when Team Corvette used to run solo @ times in the former GT1 class.

Well it could be argued that the P1 class was kind of pointless the last decade due to the Audi's :). Though you are right it does suck that Peugeot isn't running, at least they could and have won.
I read in Peter Egans column that Peugeot's drivers were on the plane to Sebring when the plug was pulled.

Thanks Gents for the confirmation of participants. It sucks that there's no Peugot. Without Peugot, Audi's only competition is whether or not their drivers crash out of the race. Yes, GTE class is gonna rock! That will be very interesting to watch. Ferrari has been a dificult competitor for the vettes since vettes entered that class. If either brand wins, will be alright with me; as long as it's a dogfight. :guns:

Thought we would begin a countdown in order to bump it daily. Want everyone to have a chance to find it. If you've never seen it, tune in every once in a while during the race coverage this weekend. May find it interesting. Most famous International road (tarmac) race in the World.

T minus 3 days...

Speed.com has live feeds when there is no TV coverage. I kind of like them better no commercials or announcers.

Last year they had a camera and mic in one of the Vetts along with 3 other feeds.

Excited to see the delta wing in action!

I seen some video of it going around the track and it looks like and evil batmobile, especially at night. Very cool indeed.

Here is a link to an article about it. At the bottom are several more stories including the one for today about qualifying.

What I thought was a pre-race show is just a blah, blah, blah, rah, rah, rah go team Toyota, hybrid introduction to racing; prep for LeMans documentary. It sucks.

Ya, it does. Why doesn't GM use that crank in a street vette?

The 458's sure are good lookin' cars. Although, once again a dumba$$ Ferrari driver takes out a P1 car; last year took out McNish in an Audi, this year, the Toyota Hybrid.

Race just isn't the same without Peugot. Both vettes are in trouble. The husband/wife team that drives a Ford GT is missing this year, as well.

Was a pretty good race. I think I watched like 8 hours yesterday and this morning. Audi is ridiculous, 11 of 13 years victorious.

I admire the efforts of team Vette. They do whatever it takes to keep car on track where others would have retired theirs. Although, I don't recall team Vette having so many mechanical issues in past events.

Best pic from race was Ferrari flaming front left wheel/wheel well in slow motion. Looked pretty cool. Best video is a tie between Toyota flipping in air after Ferrari "pit maneuvered" it & lap around LeMans from Vette cockpit.

ferraris took out 2 audis last year ;)

Both were horrific accidents. Thankfully, modern technology was in use. Otherwise, both Audi drivers may have been seriously injured or worse.

Don't know if the 458 is just difficult to see out of or if in each case it was an amature driver in the Ferrari. This years' crash was caused by an amature. Last year, am not sure. Too long ago for me to remember.
